Tone Freak Effects

Welcome to Tone Freak Effects! The whole concept behind Tone Freak Effects was to take the responsibility of my guitar tone into my own hands. I never really intended to make effects for other people, but fate and a string of "right place at the right time" events paved a path that seemed to beckon in a fashion I could not resist.

I've been very fortunate that I know so many fellow guitarists and friends who help make this path one more easily traveled. Guys like Jack Orman, Brian Wampler, Andy Carrell, David Friedman, Chris Nix, Shon Kornfeld, Brian Oaks, Mark Lee, Shawn Tubbs, Lyle Caldwell, and whole lot more... you may not have heard of some of them, but they all know their great contributions. When more and more of these friends of friends caught wind that I was creating my own tone generators, the birth of Tone Freak Effects' seemed inevitable.

All my creations are assembled with great care by hand. I've always taken considerable pride and joy in creating something with my own hands. The sound these metal contraptions create must please and excite my ears. The tone must inspire me to play hours on end without any sign of relenting. Afterall, the only thing that separates what I do from all the other fine builders is that I hear things differently than they do. Not for better or worse... just differently.
